Well, I guess I spoke too soon. The dots are still there -- black, evenly spaced, about 1/2 inch apart, very very small. I'm beginning to suspect that it may be a software issue, but am not certain how that could occur. At any rate, I'll try cleaning again and also search the Yahoo epson printer list for clues.
