Ernst,

Actually a the slightly larger droplet size of the 2000P may be an advantage
allowing you to get better ink blending for smoother tonally transitions and
with the larger nozzle less prone to clogging.

I certainly wouldn't go out an buy a 2000P for B&W work but I think you
could convert one you already had to grayscale inks.
