EAM is shit for midtones - others love it but it sucks (tin hat on) PR is a
world away but it costs more. I use eam for proofing only and PR or WT for
final prints

I love the colors of these inks. I've gotten a couple of really
lovely prints, but my primary subjects are actors for headshots.
The transition from shadow to light is a little abrupt. I've only
used Epson Archival Matte so far, will better papers help? On a
tight face shot, the transition from shadow to midtone to light is
just a bit too "defined". I'm blanking on the term, but it's
that "digitalized" or "pixelated" look going from one color to the
next. It makes the image look pretty flat.

Will the Hahnem\ufffdhle photo rag that I just ordered help this?

Thanks for any info.
