Re: [Digital BW] What would happen if I used inkjet on Kodak Polymax fiber based paper?

2002-08-28 by Martin Wesley

Alfie,

I asked this question myself a long while back and someone who had tried it
with Ilford paper responded. I regret that I do not recall who did the
trial. If you do not fix and wash the silver paper it will turn very dark
gray with exposure to light. once it has been fixed, washed and dried the
surface is very hard and there is no ink penetration. So basically the ink
does not stick to the paper. This was done with pigment inks. Perhaps with
dye inks it would be a different matter but I am doubtful of success.
