Digital BW, The Print

whoh.  i was at b&h last week, and the salesrep strongly recommended a
microtek 4000dpi scanner for around $1200.  now i look on the website and it
shows the only microtek 4000 dpi scanner is the one for $599.  was there a
mistake?  a price cut?

by the way, he said that this microtek scanner was better than the nikon
ls-4000 for non-chromogenic black and white film (cause you can't use ICE),
at any price.  and much better than the canon.

are there two microtek scanners?  if not, seems to me the microtek might
just be the best value here.

B&H has the Microtek 4000T for $599 right now, I think that scanner is the
same as the polaroid.
