Try saving a scan with a really high dpi resolution, and you will discover the value of having a lot of RAM.<g> Try saving a few thousand heavily layered images, along with all the *.jpg's and *.bmp's, *.gif's, *.tif's etc that they generate, and you will discover the value of a big (or several big) hard drives, preferably the type that can be used as slaves in removable media bays. Try compiling a really big, multi-moduled program, and you will discover the value of a new, fast Pentium processor. Heh, try doing high quality animation, and you will discover the value of owning an absolute monster computer, in every respect. On the other hand, I still write articles on an old GRiD laptop with an 8086 chip, and a 20MB HD. It all depends what you are trying to do. -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ A business is as honest as its advertisements. .
