The Russell Brown tutorial is a good one. There is another method which is described here: http://www.computer-darkroom.co.uk/ Look at the tutorial entitled "Monochrome from Color". I've had fun with both of these methods -- they seem conceptually similar, but differ in the detailed methodology. Also, have you profiled your monitor, printer, etc.? enjoy, Bob.
