RE: [Digital BW] Epson quad B&W inksets for 2200,7600,9600 coming soon

2002-09-07 by Andrew Biggs

I am soooooo ready to see something groundbreaking from Epson. I just
picked up a 2200 today, and the color that it produces is very nice. But
I am really after the b&w output. Perhaps some friendly competition
between the ImagePrint 5 boys and Epson. This market hasn't seen enough
competition as of yet, and the rapid R&D that comes along with that
competition.

I'm ready. After using IP4 on our 10000 for a year, I'm sold on
the rip,
the fantastic support and the free profiles. John and Dan at
Colorbyte
will go to amazing lengths to solve problems.

He made it sound like the announcement was imminent, and he
didn't swear
anyone to secrecy. So if it has no metamerism, and doesn't
clog, it
might be just the ticket. It certainly shouldn't be more
expensive than
Cone inks and all the associated paraphernalia
