sure that the MIS-FSN black is indeed compatible with the Piezotones? Have
you discussed this with the InkJetMall people?

Mitch,

The FS inks were designed as a clone of the original Piezo inks but clog and
fade less. I mixed some FS and PT ink together about a week ago to see if
there were any odd reactions. So far so good. The FS has the smell of a
heavy molecular weight alchol or perhaps a glycol while the PT smell more
like a lighter weight alcohol. In anycase I have not found anything to
suggest they are incompatible. I don't know that I would want to mix them
for use but by using the FS-K in place of the PT-K you only have to worry
about possible cross contamination on the parking pad. No I didn't discuss
it with the InkJetMall people since I have no reason to believe that they
would know for sure one way or the other. I would have tried it in anyway.

FS black longest life and lowest Dmax, Gen 4 black shorter life than FS
black but longer than PT black with a strong Dmax, it has a 100+ year
Wilhelm rating if that is worth anything, PT black very short life it seems
but a good Dmax. The Gen 4 might be a compromise if you really want the
deeper black and are willing to sacrifice some fade resistance. Jerry says
he has been using them for quite awhile without a problem.

Martin.
