Bob, I just explained all of that in a long post a few minutes ago to Austin. It's just fine when I adjust my glasses accordingly. 20/20 at exactly 5 inches away from the monitor without glasses. At 4 and 6 inches, it's a total blur. I have to change my glasses for every distance I see at by pulling them out or pushing them in. I have 5 different pairs of glasses for different distances, and when the appropriate pair is worn, everything is sharp AT THE DISTANCE Focused on. It's like looking through an F 1.0 lens at 1.0. ONLY the object I focus on is sharp, but it IS sharp. I know of nobody else who has this eye defect, or has even heard of it. Not even my optometrist has ever seen another person with this eyesight conditon. The old netscape program was presenting the canon site at much smaller type than 5 points, as I CAN read 5 point type. I get my eyes checked every 6 months, and have for 20 years. My color vision is 100 percent perfect, I got every sample of the dots correct in my last test. Jerry Whoever said Nikon lenses weren't sharp? I Owned Nikon equipment for 20 years. I Only had one lens that was a real dog. (I'm a cat person, of course). :) and then you might be able to realise how sharp Nikon lenses > are!! >
