Hallo, Regarding Minolta Multi Pro. Lyrics are going on in our group. I do agree! I'm just sitting here evaluating the old "drawbacklist" that was sent to MINOLTA. And I'm a tuff Viking not letting anything go throght my fingers that are not good. MINOLTA totaly rewrote their software! So far they went - they started to renumber this version to Ver. 1.0.0! Wow- so far - I never thought I would be able to say this: *Now* I do certainly recomend this scanner! Basta! I don't believe what I see! Sad to say, I don't need VueScan anylonger! In our group all seems to agree - "what a party"! Our struggle and contacts with MINOLTA seems to have given us what now makes our scanner something to be proud of! Now in par with my Hasselblad - indeed! No longer a weakest link. Thank You MINOLTA for listening! You needed this for Photokina! We needed it to be happy! We are now all happy for that new software, that proved this scanner was worth this new software. This scanner is now just sitting in the front seat. I'm really happy I didn't sell it! But remember it's a scanner - not a drum scanner, but don't hesitate to compare the differences with a drumscanner. 4800 ppi for for 35 mm. Test give us downsampling from 4800 dpi to 4000 dpi on a MF neg is better that a scan upsampled from 3200 ppi to 4000. Etc etc. Dmax etc all the way without almost any "yellow noice pixalating". Good DOF - not necessary for a totaly flat film, sharp out to the corners. Huh...I must stop here..! As being one of the fighter for this software I must say - they did over my expectation. Now I have piece! I love it! Soory if I was moved by this new software, I seldome am. Just test that scanner - make your own opinion! But Minolta - why did you not do it from the beginning? Fiat Lux!
