I have just received my 7600 and will be in the process of supplying prints of my photographs to various locations. I will also have a few gallery showings at some of Houston finer Day spas, and restaurants. I also have four retail shops to display my prints, Avis car rental I know sounds weird) several specialty shops and my one big shop in Fredricksburg Texas. Question: what sizes should I print. I shoot from a D1x and shoot full frame. 8x12 and 11x17 etc.. , after matting a 11x17 would yield a 17x23. I know in some places this might be a little large (for avis) but in one day spa I have a great brick wall about 30ft with plenty of room. Should I make the largest prints I can to show and maybe have a few smaller samples prints for them to see also. What do you think about retail outlets 8x12 with a few largers prints. also, I have been printing B&W with my 7000 but mainly for portrait work, I have yet to find really good methods to mount the print in my mats. I have a rotor trim and a nice matt cutter. I have taped the prints and hinged the mats, and used corner mounts and taped the matt. There is I am sure many ways to do this but I am still in the dark as to how to present my prints in retail outlets. I really appreciate any help. I am also posting in other groups Bill Giffen some of my prints are at http://www.pbase.com/wag/my_san_miguel_portfolio
