I am using Gen-4 ink in my 1280. My papers of choice for the "good stuff" are the Hahnemuhles, but at about $4 a crack for the 13x19, it really have to save it for the "good stuff". For in house proofing and general commercial grade prints, I was using regular Epson Matte Paper Heavyweight. I like the weight and it renders detail with great crispness, and you can't beat the price. After reading about this paper using a brightner that will yellow in time quicker than most, the search began for a substitute. Even though it's listed at 167g/m2, it feels heavier than the Hahnemuhle 170 photo matte. Is this just my imagination? Also, it seems that Epson is changing over their Archival Matte to Enhanced Matte, and I read their are some batch problems with Enhanced Matte sometimes shipping yellower than other batches. Maybe I should stay away from all Epson ink and paper altogether. I've tried Legion Photo Matte, but I felt it was too cool/bright for my personal tastes. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
