Austin, That's a good question. Is there a way to control an Epson printer other than through its ESC/P protocol? That would be the only way to do something like that. I really don't believe it's true, though a "claim" was made that that the Piezo driver print 2160, not 1440...though no one has ever been able to explain how that actually does it, as it's beyond the mechanical limitations of the printer motors and encoders.
