John: If you want to be 100% safe, wash/flush out the CIS tubing and install new virgin CIS carts. However, I have not heard of anyone experiencing problems doing as you say. On the other hand, if your CIS is older or has been subjected to low humidity conditions, some gunk may have built-up in the cart and changing out may not be a bad idea from a preventive maintenance point of view. The carts of any CFS/CIS don't last forever. There are no guarantees in life.
