Clarification on MIS FS needed-Jerry/Jeff

Clarification on MIS FS needed-Jerry/Jeff

2002-10-03 by John Luke

Sorry, I don't mean to sound like a dolt, but if I understand this
correctly, I can simply unscrew off of my CIS the almost empty bottle
of original Cone Piezography ink and
screw in a new bottle of MIS-FS without fear?

John:

If you want to be 100% safe, wash/flush out the CIS tubing and
install new virgin CIS carts. However, I have not heard of anyone
experiencing problems doing as you say. On the other hand, if your
CIS is older or has been subjected to low humidity conditions, some
gunk may have built-up in the cart and changing out may not be a bad
idea from a preventive maintenance point of view. The carts of any
CFS/CIS don't last forever.

There are no guarantees in life.
