Jerry, I'm finally printing with VM. Very nice on scenics. However, I'm not getting the blacks I want on my BW street photography, so I need more grit. The Gen4 black sounds great, but I'm hesitant to spend on a profile at this time. What exactly goes wrong when you incorporate Gen4 black without profiling? Is there another way (an easier softer way) to solve the problem?
