Hi Glenn, I switched from VM to Gen4 black, no profile changes, nor curve tweaks, nothing - I am very happy with it. I may have been lucky with the printer (1290) as Paul has just done curves for it, either way - it's worth a try, if it doesn't work, switch back and run a half dozen purge pages - the inks are fully interchangeable.
