Paul,

I have used it with 2 inks and several printers,
and to my dismay, all had similar results. I have
used it with the 7000 and 300 with OEM inks, 1160
and 980 with MIS FS inks. I originally used
Stonehenge on the recommendation of Jerry Nevins,
who at the time used it for his gallery work.
After using it almost exclusively for several
months, we spent some time re-evaluating it
because of the blotchiness. It would seem that
this thick paper soaks the ink up unevenly, when
a lot of ink is laid down. Because of this, I
started to try other uncoated rag papers. I had
used a Somerset Velvet before, and did not notice
this same problem. I was looking for a smooth
paper as well, so I did a side by side comparason
of several papers. I printed a stepwedge on
Somerset Velvet, Somerset Textured (a rougher
version), Somerset Satin (smooth like
Stonehenge), Stonehenge, and Rives BFK.
Unfortunately, Somerset Satin was blotchy like
the Stonehenge was. (As was Somerset Textured.)
It was about a year ago, but I think the Rives
performed the best (with respect to this issue).
Since then, I have gone back to EAM for right
now, as I am also looking for a smooth uncoated
paper.

BTW, was the Museo that you were using with the
3000 an uncoated paper?

Don
