Evening Paul, I didn't much care for any of the varnished prints I've seen from the group. Just don't like the look. Wonder if hot pressed arches smooth papers would be as nice as the cold pressed? Maybe less grain. I have many sheets of Stonehenge and Arches left to experiment on. (22x30 inch sheets). Any ideas? I'm still getting the best black and white prints using the 1160 printer annd Generations 4 inks with enhanced black ink. Tobie made a profile that is so accurate with color inks, that the black and white prints are extremely neutral, with no color crossovers. For some reason, I get blacker blacks using color inks than the VM inkset with enhanced blacks. I just may switch over to Generations color inks in my 1280 and use that. They'll probably outlast me.
