I don't know enough to express an opinion on this. But wouldn't you want to be preserving the chemical makeup of the ink, not adding variables to it? Since it's such a hocus-pocus finely tuned suspension of pigment that is. I can confirm that, on my system, a CFS not only shows symptoms of k ink evaporation through deposits inside bottle and increased clogging, but it affects the shadow area of the print, mainly through mottling. But you have to do a stepwedge and compare it to one done in past when ink was fresh to see it.
