Better return to my own reply before any other confusion occurs.
The Matrox double head cards are ICC compatible but you can only use one ICC
monitor profile with the card, that means you either need two monitors that
are exactly the same (or made the same with the hardware control of the
monitor itself) or abandon colour control of the monitor that is only
running the PS menus. As most have a 20" screen for the image and a 17"
screen for the menus there's little chance that the monitors are much alike.

If colour control is needed on both monitors, then it is better to have two
separate cards or a double headed card that allows the use of two separate
ICC profiles.
