Digital BW, The Print

Hi all...I'm new to the group...

ANyway, I own an Epson 1270 printer. I'm using it with Epson's Ink and Heavyweight-matte or colorlife paper. But recently I went to an art store and found a digital print made on textured paper. I forget what's the brand, but I the print is beautiful and artistic. I want to try textured paper...but I'm afraid of the longevity issue....I display my work matted on the wall...sometimes I sell them to people, or just give as gifts, I do want my artwork to be long enough to give pleasure to the viewer.

Does anybody in this list have any luck with 3rd party textured paper (canvas or watercolor paper..)..?? Pls describe what brand. I'm using only standard Ink. 

FYI, I do Fine art photography, I print duotones or tritones...(I think 1270 sucks on B&W, there always slight color cast..... does anybody have a cure for it ???)
