There would be a lot of touch up where you wish it to be totally > opaque. Carolyn, That works great. I made a duplicate image and resampled it to 50 dpi. Made a new layer and used the edge of a soft brush to create the curved gradient I wanted. Resample back to the original resolution and copied the layer to the original image and changed the layer to color burn. Play with the ooacity a little and it's done. Works like a champ!
