Digital BW, The Print

I routinely run an Epson 1270 with color and an Epson 1160 with VM 
simultaneously on a Mac.

 I use a PowerMac 733 with Classic 9.2 running under OS 10.2. I print in the 
background with both printers using the standard Epson System 9 drivers with 
Phototshop 6.0 running in Classic 9.2 within 10.2. 

As mentioned previously you do have to select the second printer with 
Chooser after you get the first printer started. I also surf the internet or work in 
photoshop or other programs while both printers are working. 

I used to crash in 9.1 fairly frequently; however, since I have been running 9.2 
within 10.2, I have not had a crash. By the way, I have not inadvertantly 
crashed 10.2 thus far. 

I have had no success with the OS X Epson drivers as far as getting what I 
want out of a printer without a lot of hassle but have had some success with 
the Gimp drivers for non-photographic printing. I have not tried the Gimp 
drivers to any extent for photographic printing because the 9.2 solution works 
so well for me presently.
