Jerry, Greetings from the Nations Capital...it's been a while since we spoke. Question: Since Small Gamut inks are dye-based, have you ever tried them on Somerset Velvet uncoated paper? I know, I know...the d-max is not as great as on coated papers, but that is not an issue for me...I like the soft painterly look I get on uncoated papers. I am considering SG and would agree that glossy prints are a bit tacky and not salable at all!!! I use a lot of Somerset Velvet uncoated with my dye based 7000...I love the look and the price of the paper, but am tiring of the color crossover issues on subtly toned prints. SG or even VM Sepia may be a good solution. Any suggestions on how to profile SG inks...I have a Spectrocam and Profiler Pro software...what do you think...any experience with SG on uncoated papers?
