Digital BW, The Print

Hello everybody, 
I am currently printing on an 1160 with MIS FSN, mostly on EAM and 
Photorag. I am considering getting an 1190 as replacement or to use 
it parallel to the 1160.

1. Would the 1290 give me finer results with FSN as the 1160.
2. Will I get better results in Sepia toned prints when using the 
1290 and archival colour inks like the MIS Perpetuals (= Sepia 
printed with colour inks) than with a VM Sepia set on a 1160? 

I have tried out the VM inks on the 1160 before, but was not too 
happy neither with the blueish nor with the warm tone.
