Mitch, 

Forget #2. If you have anxiety now, just add that to the mix and it'll 
put you over the edge. Huge amounts of post-production, drying 
time, fear of airborn crap landing on it when it's wet, etc. The list 
is endless.

Forget #3. Take amount of post-production time in #2 and then 
double it.

I'd pursue #1. 

The only other option that's remotely acceptable is to use Matte 
Black with Archival Matte. The black level is so-so. (Doesn't that 
get you fired up about trying it?)
