I decided to pass on the 2200 for now. I got burned on the 2000P and
I know good results can be gotten out of the 1280. Besides the deal
at Comp USA on the 1280 was great. I paid the $499 but I get a $100
rebate. I get a $50 credit voucher for any Comp USA product. I get
another $10 rebate from epson for some reason. I bought the $49 two
year replacment because it comes with a $25 coupon towards the
purchase of an ink cartridge (which is about the same price) so....

basically I got the printer for $389 with a two year replacement
warranty and 3 extra cartridges and I can either get a new printer or
a $499 refund any time in the next two years or just trade up for a
2200 and pay only the difference.

Not bad. Now I just hope they stay in business.
Thanks to all of you for your opinions.
Tim
