I believe that is about the size of the 6MP Phillips chip that goes into most current Medium Format backs. It yields an 18mb 8-bit RGB file (captured at 14-bit). Whether that size is enough for *anyone* is debatable, but the technology (the chip anyway) is here now. I guess it's mostly economics that prevents it's immediate use at mainstream prices. BTW, Kodak is utilizing a slightly larger square chip, which yields a 48MB file in their back, at about $20K. Todd
