The "Bon a tirer" or Printer's proof is the first print that has the right quality on the press. It is the one the other prints are compared to. The printer will get that print. The artists proofs (5 should be the quantity) are like the issue prints but will become part of the artists collection and so are "Hors Commerce" like the Printers Proof. Ernst
