Hmm Jerry, maybe it's the 1280's ability to print at 2880 dpi that makes the difference. Are there any Epson engineers lurking on this list who can clear this up? Still, in the grand scheme of things, I suppose it probably shouldn't make all that much difference to the average eye, since, after all, there are people out there like Tyler Boley using the Epson 3000, which has even bigger ink droplets than the 1160, yet apparently getting very good results.
