A minor correction to Don's post--my Wacom Graphire DOES allow me to define and use a smaller area of the tablet (driver vers. 4.7.2-2 on Mac OS 9.1). Not that you really need to, as the active area is already pretty manageable in size. Very cool tool, and they have worked out many of the previous bugs in this latest version of the non-OSX driver (and shrunk down the extensions required from about 16 to 1!).
