Digital BW, The Print

Has anyone out there had success with using the Stylus Photo 6 colour
as their dedicated B&W printer? I have a 1270 as my colour printer and
the Stylus Photo just sits here collecting dust. I've been meaning to
get a printer strictly for B&W and wondering if I need to invest in a
new one or if the Stylus Photo will suffice. If I do need a new
printer, I'm leaning towards either another 1270 or a 1280. What are
the pros and cons of these two machines pertaining to dedicated B&W
usage? Would appreciate any and all comments from this learned group.
