Re: What is CIS?

2002-12-02 by Clayton Jones

Hello Gary,

CIS means Continuous Ink System (or Supply?). It refers to an ink
supply system sold by MIS which replaces ink cartriges on Epson
printers with larger bottles. Saves money on expensive small
cartriges.

There are several other brands (CFS - Continuous Flow system ?) sold
by other vendors. I don't know all the names...perhaps someone else
can list all the names, etc. There was a recent discussion on the
merits of various systems. It would be nice to see a list of all the
brands and brief summary of each.

Regards, - cj
