I don't think Stan meant NOT manipulating images necessarily means limiting your vision, just that if you *wish* to do so and elect not to because of a self-imposed rule against using such tools, you are limiting your vision. I may be inferring a bit here on his behalf (as informed by my own feelings on the matter), but that's my guess.
