Hello Joe, I noticed nobody answered you yet. I'm sure it's not because you're an untouchable or something, but more likely that so far no readers have answers. The particulars of inks and curves vary among printer models, and your questions are specific to the 1200 and an older version of PS. It's also Friday night, so with the weekend coming up there's a good chance someone will come along who can help. I perhaps can answer one of your questions: >1) Roark's workflow specifies "In the Epson driver, set >Print Space to Same as Source." well, I would, but I >can't find this option on any of the set-up/print screens >for either the Win95/98 or Win2000 print drivers. And >what does this setting actually do? I don't know about 5.5 but in PS7 this is found in the menu under Files\Print With Preview... At the bottom of this preview window there's a picklist with two choices, "Output" and "Color Management". When you choose Color Management the bottom of the window changes and gives you a picklist of profiles. One of these choices is "Same As Source". These allow you to alter the instructions to the printer by choosing a profile that is different from the one imbedded in the image - basically you can alter the resulting print without changing the image itself. I hope this helps. Regards, - cj
