Practically, you are right, I'm sure. But if you had a 2 or 3x bellows and a macro lens, or even better an electron microscope, (Especially if you had an electron microscope), I bet you COULD come up with a good picture. Unless it was just plain snow or dirt at your feet, which is very likely here in N.D. :). Note tongue in cheek. But you can do wonders with almost ANY subject with an electron microscope....
