Jerry:

Tell you what, I guarantee I will get better pictures by finding a new
location rather than you standing someplace and trying to find a picture
where there is apparently not one.

This is so much bullshit you can do taking pictures of your feet and some
shadows etc.

In photography content is 90% and to get content you have to move around and
look for it, and the right light, etc.

This is commonsense.

You may be correct in that is what he had in mind. In a practical sense,
I'll go with my interpretation.

I think he may have been standing on his hasselblad.

Practically, you are right, I'm sure. But if you had a 2 or 3x bellows
and a macro lens, or even better an electron microscope, (Especially if
you had an electron microscope), I bet you COULD come up with a good
picture. Unless it was just plain snow or dirt at your feet, which is
very likely here in N.D. :). Note tongue in cheek. But you can do
wonders with almost ANY subject with an electron microscope....

I would say that most photos that really work are "surprises"... and
you don't generally find the surprises by rushing around looking for
what pops out at you.

actually a picture of a tongue in a cheek would probably be
interesting.
