RE: [Digital BW] Selfpublishing Book Compiled info?

2002-12-16 by Jim Panzer

Just an FYI, after deciding to make a calendar for the holidays, and
researching binding machines (which I have found are pretty expensive) I am
going to go to Kinkos and have them Wire Bind it together. They said they
can do up to an inch and a half and it seems to only cost a couple bucks.
It seems like wire binding is a nice choice for photo books because the book
will always lie flat. Yes it will have that "Journal" look about it but I
kind of like that. Of course plastic binding is another option but I think
the metal looks a bit sturdier. I don't know if there is a tremendous
amount of interest in this type of book making but if anyone would like to
start a group on the subject I would definitely join. I looked for groups
but all I could find was really fancy Japanese type binding clubs, and to
these people, wire binding is blasphemy...
