I just ordered my new Epson 1280 ($313 after the $100 Epson rebate). Since it is new, it will never see color carts. I am dedicating it to B/W from the very start. Now the question is....what do I do next? MIS inks, Piezotones? Plugins? Workflows? I have just started to get, what I consider, quite nice B/W output from my C80 using the "Russell Brown Tonal Conversion Technique" using EEM and Epson Velvet Fine Art, but I want a bigger output. http://www.russellbrown.com/tips/photoshop.html I don't know how this stacks up against others, but it works for me and makes sense to me, unlike some others. Maybe that is why it works for me. Jerry in Houston [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
