On my 1280 in some prints I can see what might be called "obvious 
dots".  But I don't think they're actually the dots of ink from the 
printer.  They're very small dots that are actually in the digital 
image itself as results of posterization in either the camera capture 
or more probably the jpeg compression.  At least that's my conjecture 
at the moment.
