Subject: Silverfast 6

I just downloaded/installed Silverfast 6.01 upgrade (PS plug-in ver.)
for my Polaroid Sprintscan 120. I just bought the unit used with an
earlier version(5.2) of Silverfast.

In the original earlier version (5.2) there were 2 programs within it
that were listed under the PS>File>Import menu - the regular
Silverfast Ai and the HDR. Now with the version 6 download I only
have one program listed "Silverfast (Polaroid)" - is this the way it
is meant to be or did I select the incorrect one to download/install ?

Also, is the setup and it8 calibration the same or different to the
5.2 version ?

thanks,
frankg

Frank,
Silverfast decided to "split" the update in version 6 into two parts. And
they do charge you for EACH update. You got the Ai update, that operates
your scanner. This is probably the one you want. The HDR is for using
Silverfast to adjust disk files. I didn't bother with the HDR update
either, as I see no advantage over Photoshop, and the cost is substantial.

Warmest Regards, and Happy New Year!
