Having read so many raves about Hahnemuhle Paper Rag, I bought the paper and have printed several B&W's using it. I have an Epson 2200, WinXP and am using PS7. I have not used a profile for it. Rather I have used the settings suggested suggested by Professor Schofield (thank you Professor!) at www.luminous-landscape.com . Those settings produce very satisfactory prints using Matte Black ink. The only change from his suggestions is the media selection, which is set to Watercolor Paper Radiant White. The prints are very satisfactory, as I have said, but always wondering whether there are "tweaks" that could improve on a good thing. I did carefully produce a color profile, with expert assistance, for the subject paper using Profile Prism. However, Epson's Enhanced Matte paper, using Epson's canned profile, produced a better looking print. All other parameters remained unchanged so that a reasonable comparison could be made. Settings, tweaks, suggestions, profiles etc. for printing B&W's on HPR will be most appreciated. Thanks for any help! Peter [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
