Digital BW, The Print

Hey Group, Happy New Year!

 

I am going to have to buy a scanner soon for the purpose of scanning printed
shots for re-print and also for making contact sheets.  For the purpose of
making the contact sheets I am of course going to need a transparency unit
and it seems an 8 by 10 unit is way out of my price range (for full sheets
of 35mm negatives).  All though, I have a cheapy light box that is over 8 by
10 inches, can I just place this on top of the scanner and use it as a
transparency unit?  I think that's all one is anyway...all though I could be
wrong.  Thanks!

PS. I would be bringing the scans in to PhotoShop and adjusting it there
afterwards...
