Good printer, Scott; I still miss mine. I never tried a quad tone inkset in it. It coped well with a variety of papers. The heaviest/thickest I remember using in it was Crane's 300 gsm uncoated cover stock, which wasn't very useful due to the dot gain. If someone gave me one (and I could find some place to put it!), I think I'd try Lyson's Small Gamut Photonic inkset in it if Lyson supports that. But I assume that would be a more expensive experiment. I think it would make a good printer for one of the MIS VM inksets, but I don't think anyone has developed the necessary (I guess) curves for it. Incidentally, the 900 is, I believe, one of the few printers for which Adobe's discontinued PressReady rip works.
