In that case, take the feed line out of the cartridge.  Then find a 
way to seal that connector temporarily.  Use the bottom feed adapter 
and a 60 cc syringe to suck out most of the inks already in the 
cartridge.  You will have to do this many times, to extract as much 
of the inks as possible, including any of the foam.  Then make sure 
you remove all of the breached tape seal from the exit port.  Reseal 
this port using electrical tape.  It is very important that this tape 
seals the exit port completely (otherwise you will not be able to 
acheive vacuum).  Re attach the feed tube, and follow the vacuum 
filling process.  If inks comes out into the feed lines,  at this 
stage you know that you did not remove all of the ink.  You don't 
happen to have metahnol around do you?  Or 100% alcohol (don't waste 
the 30 year single malt;-).  If you have methanol, you might be able 
to flush the cart, to help drive out more of the ink.
