I will just pass unconfirmed information (unconfirmed because I don't use Kodak films - Ilford and Fuji only). I've read somewhere in the web that the main difference between these two films is that TCN400 has an orange mask but Portra base is clear. Also Ilford XP2 works well with Digital ICE and/or FARE. Actually any film (except for Kodachrome) which is not silver based is OK for ICE/FARE.
