Steven, thanks to prevent confusion... What is your experience with XP2?
I'm about to make a darkroom session with a friend's XP2 negatives and
would like to be prepared against possible troubles.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
