Gary, The Epson OEM carts have always got the ink flowing again when I've used them for stubborn clogs. My success before being advised about their strong medicinal was not very good: I replaced an 1160 printhead every 9 or 10 months for a couple of years. After replacing the bad cart with Eps OEM, I often get a perfect nozzle check after one cleaning cycle; and the tougher clogs have all yielded to the Eps OEM carts after letting them sit in the printer overnight. Whenever I do 3 cleaning cycles, I print a purge-pattern (downloaded from MIS's site). If the problem is only with the black, I edit out the color columns so I don't waste ink; if the problem is with the color cart, I remove the black column. Hope this helps.
